Duties after welding:
Check:
  1. Weld Identification
  2. marking welding
    Each weld is marked with the welder's identification and is identified in accordance with drawing/weld map.

  3. Weld appearance
  4. weld face
    • Ensure welds are suitable for all NDT (profile, cleanness, etc).
    • Visually inspect welds and sentence in accordance with Code.

  5. Dimensional survey
  6. inspection weld
    Check dimensions are in accordance with drawing/Code.

  7. Drawings
  8. engineering drawing
    Ensure any modifications are included on as-built drawings.

  9. NDT
  10. non destructive test
    Ensure all NDT is complete and reports are available for records.

  11. Repairs
  12. repairs
    Monitor in accordance with the procedure.

  13. PWHT (if required)
  14. post weld heat treatment
    Monitor for compliance with procedure (check chart record).

  15. Pressure/load test (if required)
  16. leak test
    • Ensure test equipment is calibrated.
    • Monitor test to ensure compliance with procedure/Code.
    • Ensure reports/records are available.

  17. Documentation records
  18. inspection report
    Ensure all reports/records are completed and collated as required.
